Jackson Innovation Scholars

For the Visual Arts and Natural Sciences

The Jackson Innovation Scholars Program is designed to provide unique opportunities in the arts or sciences.  The funded projects will be awarded to first-year students who demonstrate innovation, imagination, and creativity.

One Scholarship will be awarded in the Arts and one in the Sciences.  Each successful Jackson scholar is eligible to receive $1,000.00 the first year, $2,000.00 the second year and $3,000.00 the third year for a possible total of $6,000.00.

The idea of the scholarship is to reward innovation, creativity, imagination and merit.  Proposals and resultant projects will be awarded on the basis of originality and inventiveness.  Each scholar will have an opportunity to work on their project over a three-year period with the culmination of the project in the spring of the senior year.

Imagination encircles the world.
